Challenge
The health of hundreds of network sites and links used to be monitored through manual recaps compiled only at period end. Management had no real-time picture: which links go down often, how uptime and latency trend over time, and which data could go straight into stakeholder reports.
Solution
We built a Next.js monitoring dashboard with an Express API and a scheduler that collects data periodically:
- Site & link monitoring — the status and history of every network site and link in one view.
- Uptime & latency metrics — network quality trends visualized in interactive charts.
- Summaries — per-period performance aggregates for quick management review.
- Data download — raw and recap data exports for reporting needs.
- File directory & multi-user access — supporting documents and team access control.
Results
- Network conditions are readable at a glance without waiting for manual recaps.
- Link quality degradation is detected earlier from metric trends.
- Periodic reporting is reduced to downloading data from the system.
- Operations and management work from the same single data source.
